- Death of a Guelph Merchant
For half a century B. Savage, Guelph, has been one of the popular merchants of the city. He passed away last Thursday in his 70th year. Mr. Savage had been in poor health for some months. A few days before his death he was seized with a severe cold. It was not considered serious. Thursday afternoon, however, when Mrs. Savage was rearranging the bedclothing he suddenly succumbed to heart failure. He was engaged in the jewelry business in Guelph from his young manhood and up to the time of his death. In his long business career he was honorable, straightforward and popular; a gentleman of sterling character and most highly esteemed by those who knew him best. He leaves a widow and three children; George, and Albert D., both in business in Guelph, and Miss Grace at home. - Featured Link
