- OBITUARY
MICHAEL KALEY
The death of Michael Kaley occurred on Wednesday, August 18th, in his 83rd year. Mr. Kaley was born in Ireland in the town of Minagh, in the county Tipperary and came to Canada in the year 1857. He resided on lot 21, 2nd line, Esquesing, for 38 years. In religion he was a Roman Catholic and a faithful member of St. Joseph's Church, Acton. He died at his home well fortified by the last rites of his church. Before a large assemblage of friends the funeral left his home on Friday at 9.30 and preceeded to St. Joseph's Church, where Requiem High Mass was sung by Rev. Father Tabone, S.J. Thence the cortege proceeded to the R. C. Cemetery, Dublin. Mr. Kaley was predeceased by his wife some nine years ago. Nine children blessed their home, of whom three have died, Annie, Philip, and John. Three sons and three daughters remain; James E., and Joseph R., of Hamilton, Michael on the homestead; Mrs. Jno. McHally, of Glenwilliams; Margaret and Elizabeth at home. He also leaves a brother, James, in Toronto. The pall bearers at the funeral were James Stewart, D. Waldie, D. McDougall, James Gibbons, Martin Kelly, and M. Kaley. - Featured Link
