MRS. HIRAM SWACKHAMER
The home of ex-Warden Swackhamer has been painfully saddened through the passing away on Tuesday afternoon of Mrs. Swackhamer. Her illness was prolonged for a year or more, although everything possible was done to afford relief. For a month or more she was in the hospital at Guelph in the summer but no improvement was effected and she afterwards gradually grew worse. Neuritis and heart trouble were her ailments. Her maiden name was Mary E. Chisholm. She was a daughter of the late John Chisholm and was born in Esquesing fifty-three years ago. Thirty-one years ago last Christmas she was joined in wedlock to her sorrowing husband. She was the wife and mother of a happy home, and always used her endeavors to make the home a most joyous and happy place. Her death is the first in the family. The children are: Brant, of Toronto; Mrs. R. Unwin, Acton, Ralph, Rose and Joseph. Mrs. Swackhamer was a member of Knox Church. She was highly esteemed in the community. The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in Fairview Cemetery. - Featured Link
