Mrs. (Rev.) William Bryers
At the ripe age of eighty-five years Sarah E. Priest, widow of the late Rev. William Bryers, passed away on the 19th inst., at home in Napanee. Mrs. Bryers was twice a resident of Acton with her husband and family. Thirty-five years ago Rev. Mr. Bryers was the minister of the Methodist Church here for several years. Their liking for the town and the many friends here caused the family to select Acton for their residence again when Rev. Mr. Bryers completed his ministry and took a superannuated relation in 1893. The family resided here until 1901, when Mr. Bryers' failing health rendered it desirable to remove to the home of Mrs. Bryers' early days, where most of their relatives were livng, at Napanee. Mr. Bryers predeceased his helpmate nine years ago. Miss Nettie was the only member of the family remaining at home. Mrs. Bartle, (Fanny) and Mr. Fred also survive. - Featured Link
