REV. FATHER EDWARD WALSH
The Quebec Chronicle of May 21 gives particulars of the death of Rev. Father Edward Walsh, formerly parish priest of St. Joseph's Church, Acton. Father Walsh died suddenly at St. Michael's Parish Presbytery at Montreal on the 20th inst. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walsh, Quebec, and had been suffering for a couple of years from rheumatism. Father Walsh was first educated at St. Patrick's School, Quebec; he then entered St. Laurent College, Montreal, to study for the priesthood. Later he entered the Quebec seminary where he studied for three years. He was ordained a priest in 1904 for the Diocese of Hamilton. He succeeded Rev. Father Feeny in Acton and was here for a couple of years when he was transferred to St. Michael's Parish, Montreal where he had been for the past nine years. Besides his father and mother Father Walsh is survived by one sister and four brothers. His friends and former parishioners here will greatly regret the sudden death of Father Walsh. - Featured Link
