Two years have gone by without you here, It seems like only yesterday you were taken from us way too soon. Not a day goes by without a thought of you and times we shared, You are still in our hearts and on our minds with every minute that passes. Life is so unfair but I guess God had bigger plans for you with him. One day we will be together again. You will always be cherished and loved. The Hiking group will take their next hike on Friday, January 6. I heard they had a great hike and picnic to finish up the year at Scotsdale last week. In fact it sounded more like a wine and cheese party than a picnic, and one person even carried a thermos of coffee, and china cups along the trail until they found the perfect spot to stop and enjoy themselves when returning to their cars. Carpet Bowling restarts Monday, January 9. Paper tole classes will start on Monday afternoons in Jan- uary, but the first date hasnt been set yet. It will be $3.00 per class, and Willa Hewitt will be the instructor. There is a list of items needed to start the class, on the sign up sheet. If you are interested in joining this class drop into the Centre and add your name to the list, and at the same time pick up the requirement list. You may already have some of the necessary equipment, or wish to purchase your own. For anyone interested they will be car pooling after Christmas to pick up the prints and tools needed. No more information on chess or rug hooking classes, but if you are interested write your name on the appropri- ate list. For any of the above programs you do have to be a member of the Centre, but it is a bargain at $20 per year. On a sad note everyone at the Centre would like to extend their condolences to Marj Allan on the unex- pected death of her husband Ken. Many members have worked on committees over the years with Marj, as she is our program chairman and with her committee has had many interesting speakers and programs set up for us to enjoy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Marj and your family. I hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas with friends and family, and wish you a healthy and happy New Year. Dont forget it is time to renew your membership for 2006 if you havent already done so. There were mem- bership forms on the back of your last newsletter so you could fill out the details in the comfort of your own home. The last 50/50 draw for 2005 was won by Pat Friz- zell. Congratulations, Pat.
