This will be my last column as your Village Constable. Effective January 1, 2006, I have been transferred to another posting. I truly enjoyed my time here, work- ing with all Actons Citizen. So many people and Organizations extended a welcoming hand. I don not nearly have enough room in this column to thank you all of you indi- vidually, so I would like to give collec- tive, heartfelt THANK YOU to each of you via this column. You new Village Constable is Constable Rob Felske. Rob has worked with the Halton Regional Police Service for the past 6 years, spending part of that time patrolling in the Acton area. My wish is that you maintain your con- tinued generous support the Acton Vil- lage Constable Program. Its a New Year and a new beginning for Rob and Acton, I wish you all every success. Good Bye. The Presidents Levee on Sunday afternoon was very well supported, and we had some priceless entertainment from some of our members, in addition to the music of Kent Tocher. The Early Bird Draw was made from the list of eligible members, and the follow- ing lucky people will have their 2007 dues paid by the Branch: George De Rabbie, Wayne Wilson, and Fred Andrews. Congratulations, guys. Not bad for paying your dues one month early, Eh! As I mentioned last week, we will be hosting the District B Council meeting this Sat- urday the 7th.
