Profits from the Spot in the Park beer tent, one of the other two main revenue sources, should also top last year, and by all accounts, revenue from the midway will at least equal last year, making the fair a tremen- dous success. Revenue from the gate and parking totalled $66,500, the first time its topped the $60,000 mark since 2001. Fridays gate of $12,500 set a new record, and both Saturday ($38,500) and Sunday ($15,500) were close, according to tired but elated fair board officials on Sunday.
