VOX POP Are you concerned about global warming, which may play a part in the uncommon weather that we, and other parts of the country, have been experiencing? Melanie Wallace, Acton, open coat, dress boots Im concerned about global warming its the ozone and everything else. Were bad to our environ - ment, but I could live with this warm weather. Angela Cree, Acton (flip- flops, bare feet, sweater) I remember being a kid and having snowdrifts up to the roof that hasnt happened in 20 years. I guess I worry about what were doing to the envi- ronmentbut, I have to admit that Im kind of enjoying it. John Burgess, Acton (light, open coat) The weather is nice, but I work for Mississauga... and weve taken out one natural ice rink because of the weather and thats a scary thing how warm will it get? Jane Smiley, Acton (light jacket) I am concerned, but there is so much conflict- ing information. In a way, Id like to believe that we dont need to be con- cerned, but I dont think thats really true. Police/Fire Report Close call A 60-year-old employee of KP Building Products suffered only minor injuries when a load of vinyl siding fell and trapped him at 4:29 Sunday afternoon. Acton firefighters freed the conscious man who was trapped for approximately 20 minutes before being rushed to hospital with a suspected broken arm. His arm was not broken and he was treated and released for bruising and swelling. A company spokesman said the man was in an area where he knew he shouldnt have been when the load of vinyl slipped from a stretch wrap machine. A guardrail now blocks access to the area where the accident occurred.
