The Plan is being undertaken to examine why the Town offers the programs, services and facilities that it does, ways to address recreational needs while being financially respon- sible, and what needs to be done in order to address the publics needs now and in the future. To date, the study team led by Mon- teith-Brown Planning Consultants, a firm widely known in the industry for their work in the recreational field, has drawn upon input from the pub- lic through focus group workshops, individual interviews, community group surveys and a household sur- vey consolidating data from over 385 residents. The Town is thrilled with the amount of information that has been received by the community said Public meetings will offer the public the opportunity to see the results of the background research and analysis and review the prelimi- nary findings and recommendations of the Strategic Action Plan.
