Seniors On the Road Again The EWAG wheelchair accessible van will be heading to Niagara-on-the-Lake on Friday, June 22. The van will arrive in this beautiful town with plenty of free time to enjoy the lovely shops. Once all are shopped out the group will be attending a lunchtime per- formance of Kiltartan Comedies, part of the Shaw Festival. Please note the offi ce is not open on Fridays DRINKING DRIVER A single vehicle rollover on Wellington Rd. 125 in Erin Twp. on Friday, April 20 around 12:30p.m. resulted in the arrest of a 30-year-old Mount Forest man who faces charges of impaired driving and driving with more than 80mgs. Offi cers located the 1998 Plymouth Breeze and discovered the driver had been drinking. SPEEDER OF THE WEEK On Saturday, April 21, at 4:49pm, Constable Nikki Stewart of the Palmerston Offi ce of the County of Wellington O.P.P. was conducting speed enforcement on Concession 8 in Mary- borough Township. The offi cer observed a 2002 Honda Civic travelling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Concession 8. She activated her moving radar and the vehicle entered the beam and recorded a speed of 154-km/h in a posted 80-km/h zone. A 23-year-old Mapleton man faces a charge of Speeding. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on May 16 to answer to the charge. Thanks to a new program initiated by Halton Region, desktop and laptop comput- ers that have been deemed surplus will be given new life out in the community. The computer donation program is being delivered in partner- ship with Renewed Computer Technology (RCT). RCT is a not-for-profit, charitable organization that empowers learners, educators and not-for-profi t organiza- tions with increased access to information, communications technology, skill development and learning opportunities in a socially and environmen- tally responsible manner. Educational charities and not-for-profi ts in Halton will be given priority for the receipt of the refurbished computers.
