Wellington OPP officers foiled a break-in at Nicklin Auto Parts in Eramosa Town- ship last Thursday. Officers arrived at the Eastview Road business just before 6:30 p.m. and found four youths had entered the compound. Two were apprehended at the scene and officers found two more a short distance away. A 14-year-old girl and two 16-year-old boys from Guelph, were arrested and charged with breaking and entering. They are scheduled to appear in Youth Court ion Guelph on August 1st. Also charged is an 18- year-old Guelph youth. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on July 30th. Before the sun came up on Monday, a truck drove through a window of the Petro-Canada gas station on Alma Street in Rockwood. County of Wellington OPP officers attended and found a pick-up had twice reversed into the entrance door, caus- ing glass to shatter. The truck was last seen heading east- bound on Alma St. The driver was described as a man in a white T-shirt. The truck was possibly a Dodge from the 1990s, two-tone black with a gray bottom. Officers are asking that if anyone has information regarding this damage they could call the County of Wellington OPP office in Rockwood at 519-856-1506 or they could leave an anony- mous tip with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 ( 1-800- 222-TIPS). Vandalism at School Monday June 25 at about 1:35 p.m. Wellington OPP officers responded to a fire in the old Erin Public School lo- cated at 185 Main Street, Erin. Officers found that local youth have been breaking into this abandoned building and causing some damage to the inside. On this date the Erin Fire Department responded to a fire that had been set to four cans of primer paint inside the school. The fire was easily extinguished and there was minimal damage. No suspects were located and investigation is continuing. Police are asking if anyone has information regarding trespassers to this property or anyone involved in this incident to call the County of Wellington OPP Rockwood office at 519-856-1506 or leave an anonymous tip at the Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 222-8477 (1-800-222-TIPS).
