The schools have strong energy conservation iniatives and the kids bring it home to me and so we try to use all of our resources wisely, including electricity. What do you do if anything to help con- serve electricity? Is energy conservation part of your life? Bill Stokes, Acton I try to do all I can. I turn lights off and dont run the air conditioner unless it gets really hot. Ive noticed a little saving in my bill, and its got to help the big picture. Hazel Champagne, Acton Were using the new light bulbs and we have energy- effi cient appliances. I think you have to start some- where, and if you are aware of how much electricity you use and how easy it is to use less, then its easy. Ron Jeffrey, Acton Were not very high en- ergy users, but we dont run around leaving lights on all the time and dont run the air conditioner much because it is so drying. We have a responsibility to the environment to do what we can. To the Editor, The Rotary Club of Acton wishes to send sincere and heartfelt thanks to the individ- uals, businesses and groups in Acton and surrounding area for their generous sup- port of the Rotary Centennial Bandshell project in Prospect Park. We would also like to thank all the dignitaries and citizens alike who attended the Grand Opening. Our thanks also go out to Bev Boisvenue (for the sing- ing of O Canada) and Bruce Graham for setting up and op- erating the sound equipment throughout the evening.
