Cause was a possible electrical short in a four-wheel elec- trical cart parked in the shed. Damage was estimated at $5,000. On Thursday, Sept. 6 firefighters responded to two alarms, one at 372 Queen St. when a child pulled a pull station in the plaza at 5:41 p.m. Nothing was found when the crew responded to an alarm at 53 Cook St. at 10:30 p.m. Friday at 3:18 in the afternoon firefighters responded to a tree laying across the Guelph Line between Hwy 7 and 25 Side Road. Saturday morning at 5:18 a.m. firefighters responded to a fire on a second floor apartment at 60 Main St. South. The fire was quickly extinguished and the building ventilated. Damage was contained to the apartment with an estimated dollar loss of $5,000. Shed, apartment blazes keep Firefighters busy To the editor, Re: class list frustration. Im glad the writer thinks the Guelph school boards have it so together. But Rockwood, even closer than Guelph and part of that same school board, didnt have their class lists up till Tuesday morning either. So it must be on a school-by-school basis, as are many things. When I was little we al- ways knew from year to year who our next teacher was, but that was because the schools were so small that there was only one class per grade. Yeah, maybe itd be nice to know in advance, but I just chalk it up as part of the first- day experience. Josephine, or Jo as she is known, was the eldest member of the contingent, celebrating her 91st birthday at the camp on Sunday.
