This is the third time that the Lit- ter Free Halton Hills Task Force has organized a litter- bag giveaway as a means of reducing litter on streets and rural roads. This giveaway was very well received the past two years once people realized we werent trying to sell them something. said Task Force Chair Councillor Jane Fogal. The idea of giving the litterbag to people right at the drive-thru gets the bag directly into the car. It makes the point that we dont want to see stuff flying out the window 10 minutes after they leave the drive-thru. said Helen MacCormack, a Chamber of Commerce vol- unteer on the Task Force. Councillors and volunteers are out to show the public that littering is an important issue but we need everyones help to fi x it. said Mayor Bonnette. The Litter Free Halton Hills Task Force is made up of community volunteers, members of the Chamber of Commerce, council members and town staff.
