King Construction crew made Fair parade possible To the Editor; I would like to publicly thank King Construction, the Region of Halton and the Town of Halton Hills for all their hard work to make the Acton Fall Fair parade take place this past weekend. King Construction had a crew dedicated to the road grading and paving of Main Street North last Friday in preparation for the parade. Paul and Ed from King Con- struction also donated their time on Saturday to help the Main Street merchants put on a Customer Appreciation fundraising Barbecue in the parkette at Mill and Main. Paul, Ed and Mayor Rick cooked hotdogs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and all proceeds went to the Acton Agricul- tural Building. At the end of the day over $350 were raised for the new building. Part of the donation was a collection from the King Construction Crew. A big thank you to ev- eryone who participated in the barbecue and to all the Main Street merchants and customers during this time of construction. Its a dirty job but it will be well worth it in the end! Yours truly, Josey Bonnette. Bolton soccer has zero tolerance To the editor, This is in reference to the article, which appeared in your paper regarding the Bolton Wanderers Soccer Club. You have painted a very dismal picture of our club by omitting many facts and incorrectly reporting the rest. One team in the league had a discipline problem and not the entire club. After no ac- tion was taken by the NPHSL, our club voluntarily removed the coaches and players in- volved. We also conceded the match, which is not what you reported. The League did not award the win. We have also issued an apology for the actions of the players and parents, which poorly represented our club. The Bolton club has grown very quickly to over 3,000 players and is run by a small group of hard working vol- unteers. We have a zero tolerance towards aggressive or violent behaviour especial- ly towards game offi cials. It is very unsettling to read the kind of trash talk which you have published. Hope- fully you will retract and print the truth. Aldo Simone, President, BWSC.
