Cossings Community Church situates in what was formerly Mannys on Mill St, once the Odeon Theatre, is having a simple Christmas Eve service of stories and carols to celebrate Christmas from 6-6:45 p.m. Refresh- ments will follow. St. Josephs Church has the regular Sunday masses at 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Sunday. On Christmas Eve there are masses at 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and the traditional midnight mass is at midnight of course. On Christmas Day there is only one mass and it is at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bob Bulbrook cel- ebrating. Sunday pageant The Salvation Army begins their Christmas festivities on Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. with a childrens Christ- mas pageant, cancelled the previous Sunday by inclem- ent weather. Christmas Eve the Acton corps is having a candlelight service at 6:30 p.m. with no service Christ- mas Day. Trinity United Church on Mill St. is having the tradi- tional candlelight and carol service on Christmas Eve at 7 p.m. with Rev. Deborah McKellar. 11 p.m. there is a Christmas communion ser- vice. Dr. George Elliott is at the organ. Knox Presbyterian Church at the corner of Main St. and Knox Ave. is having a chil- drens pageant at the regular service on Sunday. Christ- mas Eve Knox is having a candlelight service at 7 p.m. A Christmas Day service is being held at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Pieter van Harten pre- siding. Continued from page 1 Acton Ladies Hockey Annette Kroezen powered the Dark Sharks to a 6 2 win over Lightning in Acton Ladies Hockey Friday night. Kroezen had a 4-point night including 1 goal and 3 assists. Daina McKellar opened the scoring for the Sharks. Other goal scorers were Karen Foster, Shelley Dodds, Sarah Taylor and Janet Shultis. Drawing assists were Mick Wood, Janet Shultis, Karen Foster and Jackie Wilson. Replying for Blue Lightning were Una Lalonde and Kristy Hayward. Devils whitewashed In the second game the Gold Cougars whitewashed the Red Devils 6 0. Sally Stull and Carrie Gallant both had a 5-point night.
