Constable Peter Fowler was operating radar on Welling- ton Rd. 124 near County Rd. 26 in Erin on Saturday, Dec. 29 around 3:33 a.m. when he detected a 1997 Chevy Cavalier traveling well above the speed limit, Wellington OPP said. If convicted, drivers also face a minimum fine of $2,000. Violates Probation Wellington OPP officers at- tended a domestic disturbance at a home in Erin and found a man violating his probation. On Wednesday, Dec. 26 at about 3:20 a.m. OPP officers found an argument between a 33 year-old female and her boyfriend. Officers found the male was in violation of his probation. A 40-year-old man from Erin was charged with Breach of Probation and is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on Monday, Jan 7, 2008. Barn Fire On Wednesday, Dec. 26 at about 7:30 a.m. Wellington OPP officers assisted Erin Fire Department at a barn fire at a home on Ninth Line of Erin Twp. The fire was contained and an investigation into the cause is continuing by the Erin Fire Department. Damage was estimated to be approximately $250,000. Stolen Tractor Wellington OPP received a report of a stolen farm tractor from a local farm implement dealer on Thursday, Dec. 27.
