Halton Police are inves- tigating another case this time in Georgetown when intruders forced their way into a home and bound the two occupants with tape and rope before taking an undis- closed amount of property. Police said a male youth and an older woman were in their home in the area of Morris Drive and Dayfoot Drive in Georgetown, on Friday, Dec. 12 about 8am. The two residents were trussed up while the in- truders searched the home. During the robbery one of the suspects was seen carry- ing a silver handgun, police said. After the intruders left the residents were able to free themselves and call police. They were not injured, po- lice said. Both intruders were de- scribed as black. They wore dark clothing and had masks on. At a Board meeting recently, Board Chair Alice Anne LeMay commended all of the negotiating party members for their diligence and commitment to working together to achieve four-year agreements that are in accordance with the provisions of the provincial framework and which provide a harmonious and stable work environment for three more employee groups of the Board. All three agreements cover the four year period from Sep- tember 1, 2008 to August 31, 2012 and provide for three per cent wage increases during each year of the four years, as well as non-monetary and housekeeping changes to the cur- rent collective agreement, which are in accordance with the parameters outlined by the Ministry of Education and the Provincial Discussion Table Agreement. A Mil- ton man has been charged with possession of stolen property.
