With the Blue Springs Spa Gift Card By Traci Gardner Recently the children at St, Joseph Catholic School put their creative talents to a challenge, responding to the Knights of Columbus out- reach program regarding the Keep Christ in Christmas campaign. To participate in the out- Keeping Christ in Christmas reach program, the children were asked to prepare art work and stories on the theme of keeping Christ in Christmas. For each piece complet- ed, the Knights of Columbus donated $1.00 to the school. On Friday, Deputy Grand Knight James Raats came by St Joseph School to pick up the submissions, and to present Principal C. Simpson with a donation of $250. The school is, in turn, donating that money to a charity that will put that money towards helping to build a school in Haiti. Thus the students of St. Joseph have turned art into a mes- sage of giving. KNIGHTS DONATE: Deputy Grand Knight James Raats (Right) presents the cheque to Principal C. Simpson. Displaying some of the artwork created as part of the campaign are students Merik, Ivan, Madison, Brodie, Hailey, Abigail, Tasha, Liam, and Daniel Traci Gardner photo
