Here is a capsule look at the year from the pages of The New Tanner. JANUARY The New Year began with grateful thanks to the many volunteers who helped make Christmas a little happier for those in need by helping serve a Christmas dinner at Beth- el Christian Reformed Church on Christmas Day, and by those who helped provide 80 Christmas hampers filled with treats, gifts and food to the needy. Another expansion is underway at Actons Superior Glove, the second in three years. The 16,500-sqiare-foot building is 30-feet high and has a state-of-the-art design. Hundreds of congregates from Actons 11 churches filled the auditorium at the Le- gion for the annual Ecumenical Unity Service to mark the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. When given the re- cent opportunity to check MPACs website to de- termine how his property was valued a new service available from MPAC, Kazimierz Borkowski was startled to find he was be- ing taxed for having two swimming pools, when in fact, he only has one. This was the first time that property owners were able to actually ac- cess MPACs website and have a look at the details and compare similar prop- erties and see how MPAC calculated the value and thats never been available to us before, Borkowksi said on Tuesday.
