She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Allen Bennett and the loving moth- er of Margaret, Dorothy and her husband Steve Gallagher, Allen and his wife Kathy and Doug and his wife Barb. Clarence Alexander Harding, husband of the late Ida Harding (2003) both of Acton. Survived by brothers Frank of Terra Cotta and Les of Mt. Forest. Clarence was a local farmer, tannery worker and an awarded, Life Member (1988) of the Acton Agricultural Society. His efforts were officially recognized by the Premier, Ernie Eves, in 2002, with The Queens Golden Jubilee Volunteer Service Award and, again, by the Agricul- ture Society as Benefactor in 2007. Port Arthur Herb went to be with his Lord in a peaceful sleep on Decem- ber 28, 2008 at Georgetown, Ontario. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Virginia Terais (neast). Herb was the much loved father of Bill Jackson (Mar- garet) and Terry Jackson Mason (Daryl) and grandfather of Brad- ley Jackson (Kelli), and Kevin Grubbe. He was also predeceased by his granddaughter, Catharine Alyce Jackson Napier. Herb was also a great-grandfather to Lauren and Ainsley Jackson and Michael Grubbe. He was honoured at Buckingham Palace for his service as Lay Chaplain to the Mission to Seamen, Sarnia Region. Herb was inducted to the Lambton Sports Hall of Fame, awarded the Order of Huron by the Diocese of Huron for exceptional ministry and was the oldest veteran to be inducted as a member of the Acton Legion Branch 197. Cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will take place at the time of inter- ment at Lakeview Cemetery in Sarnia, Ontario at a later date. Louis is the cherished grandfather of many grandchildren and is survived by his sister Frances Debeljak and his brother Frank of Slovenia and his brother Tony of Guelph, as well as many nieces and nephews both here and in Slovenia.
