If you answered yes you may be interested in learning more about the Youth Em- ployment Preparation Program offered by Halton Region. Halton Region will be hosting an information session about the Youth Employment Preparation Program on Wednesday, Janu- ary 21, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Georgetown. The Youth Preparation Em- ployment Program helps build the self esteem and skills of youth who are unemployed and out of school by developing important skills that will help them obtain a job or determine a career path, said Halton Re- gional Chair Gary Carr. Youth are paid to attend the Youth Employment Preparation Program which provides training on topics including job search and interview skills, resumes and cover letters, and career direction. In addition to being paid to attend, free transportation is available to and from the program. This program is only for youth who are unemployed and out of school. There are limited spaces avail- able for the information session. A pizza lunch, free transporta- tion and five dollar gift card for Tim Hortons will be given to registered youth attending the session.
