Unfortunately, thieves view the Christmas holiday season a little different, with tempting items found in your auto or at your home. So the Wellington OPP would like to provide some tips on how to keep our autos or homes safer during the Christmas holiday season. Lock it or Lose it- Shopping Safety: Always take your keys. Never leave them in the car. Always lock your car. Most thefts will occur when you are shopping and left the auto unlocked. Park in well-lit areas. Over half of all vehicle thefts occur at night. Dont leave valuables in plain view. Dont make your car a more desirable tar- get and attract thieves by leaving valuables in plain sight. Place items in the trunk. Holiday safety tips JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS: The Rockwood Post Office has been busy with its Christmas rush as gift givers race to get their parcels out in time for Santas big day. - Rebecca Ring photo
