Whether it be 40 years, 20 years, 10 years, or just one year this is a great com- munity of people who help each other, look out for each other, and have fun living in Acton. Those that have been here a long time, thank you for this wonder- ful town. Those that have just moved here recently (including my family), well, we thank you im- mensely for the kindness, the warmth, the willing- ness to help whenever it is needed! Obviously there is a reason for this grow- ing community, but if you dont want it to grow, then stop being so nice! I am overwhelmed with the courtesy, the polite- ness, and the willingness 211 helps thousands commercial questions; and federal government servi- ces.. Halton is committed to creating safe and healthy communities where people have access to the services they need, said Region- al Chair Gary Carr. 211 searches through all the services and programs for people in Halton and con- nects them with the best available resource in their community. This is a great service that the commun- ity is really finding helpful to get the information they need. 211 is an easy-to-re- member, t h r ee -d ig i t , non-emergency telephone number that offers a single window of access for any- one seeking information and referral to the full range of community, health and social services available in Halton. 211 provides free, confidential assistance in over 170 languages, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is also available on-line at www.211halton.ca For more information about 211, contact Halton Region by dialing 211 or 905-825-6000, toll free: 1-866-442-5866, or visit www.halton.ca. Actonite or Actonian? that people have to help others in this commun- ity! This, I would not see in our former home com- munity of Mississauga. I even warned my husband that when you go into town (Acton), watch out for the polite peopleif your blinker is on, some- one is going to stop, and let you make your turn, or let you in. Or if youre go- ing for the same parking spot, youll be there for a whileyou flagging them to take it, and them flag- ging you to take it. Also, today after pick- ing up my daughter from school, my vehicle start- ed making strange noises. We made it home, and I called Acton Motors he was at my house (out of town) in about half an hour, and diagnosed my vehicle within 30 seconds, and told me he would get me to my daughters school in the morning for my volunteer work that I was scheduled for. There is no way that this would happen in the larger cit- iessomeone driving out to your home to check your vehicle to see what is wrongno way that would happen in the big cities! Acton Motors, you guys are the best, and I would recommend every- one to Acton Motors! Thank you again Ac- ton for being such a great communityno won- der families want to live here!
