THE NEW TANNER THURSDAY, APRIL 15, 2010 24 LEGION NEWS By James Hayes P.R.O. BRANCH NO. 197 Comrades, We have concluded our second District B Conven- tion and the time to relax and reflect is upon us. It is time to pay our thanks to the Branch members, the Red shirts that were never far away, and the people of Acton who contributed to make it the success it was. The merchants of our town will be publicly thanked for their support of our Legion in our hosting this ma- jor event. As far as the writer is concerned, the weekend was perfect. The dinner on Saturday prepared by our Ladies was superb. The almost constant catering by a host of volunteers, to provide those in between meals was well received and supported. Ladies Appreciation Night is Saturday, April 17. This is the evening the Branch executive and members re- turn the service to our Ladies Auxiliary that we have received from them in the past year. Branch Elections will be held on Monday, May 3.
