Waldie, a member of the Bearcats swim team, was chosen for her second place finish in the 100 backstroke and third in the 100 freestyle events at the White Oaks meet. Merritt, also on the swim team, was chosen for her second place in the 100 freestyle and fourth in the 100 backstroke at the same meet. Georgetown District High School Athletes of the Week are Gresham Kimm and Courtney Keast. Kimm, a member of the Rebels swim team, was selected for his strong performance at the University of Guelph swim meet, where he brought home a first in the 100 back and the 100 free relay, and second place finishes in the 100 IM and 100 freestyle. Keast, a setter on the midget Rebels volleyball team, was cited for her setting and team play at the Assumption tourney. Christ the King Catholic High School Athletes of the Week are Connor Hendry and Laura Braga. Hendry, a defenseman on the Jaguars hockey team, was selected for his solid defense which helped the team to a 4-1 win over LBP. Braga, a centre on the Jaguars girls varsity hockey team, was chosen for her penal- ty killing against T. A. Blakelock.
