Hydro One also proposes to make modifica ions at theMilton, Bruce Aand Bruce B transmission stations to accommodate the ewtransmission lines. Hydro One has submitted that the project is required to meet the increased need fortransmission capacity associated with the developme t of wind power in th Bruc area and the return to service of nuclear units at the Bruce Power Facility. Theproposed transmission project would require widening the xisting transmission corridor by approximately 53m to 61m (175 ft to 200 f ) to accommodate construction of a double-circuit 500 kV electricity transmission line.
