Woolford, the goalie for the Bearcats girls hockey team, was chosen for her initiative in making girls hockey a reality by taking on the position of goalie. In spite of the fact she never played the position before, she has been named the teams MVP most of the season. Kearns, a forward/defense on the hockey team, was credited with heading the charge to resurrect girls hockey at AHS, and leads the team in scoring this year. Georgetown District High School Athletes of the Week are Dylan Keith and Chelsea Jensen. Keith, a power forward on the junior Rebels basketball team, was select- ed for his strong offensive play against MMR recently. Jensen, a middle and power on the Rebels senior volley- ball team, was chosen for her offensive domination at the University of Guelph tournament. Christ the King Catholic High School Athletes of the Week are Megan Catling and David Juszczyk. Catling, a power hitter on the Jaguars senior girls volleyball team was selected for her leadership and hits in CtKs victory against EC Drury. Juszczyk, who plays centre on the sen- ior Jaguars basketball team, was recognized for his clutch shooting, rebounds and hustle in a 63-59 win over OT.
