Photo by Eamonn Maher Halton Hills residents turned in some land- mark results for the Milton Speedskating Club at a meet that drew competitors from as far away as Michigan at Oakvilles River Oaks Recreation Centre earlier this month. Two Georgetown skaters posted top-five fin- ishes for their respective age groups and anoth- er achieved a first for the three-year-old Milton club. Seven-year-old Kelsey Carr placed 12th in the peewee girls category, although her times were fast enough to qualify her for the Ontario championships at Clarington in March, some- thing a Milton club member hadnt done before. Samuel McEachran also finished first in the midget age group (12 & under) and his sister Abigail was an impressive fourth in the bantam division in her first-ever meet.
