Take a look back at 2007 Website now boasts slide shows A snowy winter to date has resulted in the Town of Halton Hills Public Works depart- ment overspending its 2007 budget. According to a summary of the 2007 oper- ating and capital budget, the winter control budget has been overspent by $276,000 including $150,000 for salt. The parking lots maintenance budget has also been overspent by $11,000 due to the severe winter weather. As well, Old Man Winter has caused an overdraft in the bound- ary road maintenance agreements for 32 Sideroad and Winston Churchill Blvd. The Public Works department also over- spent its litter and debris program allocation by $29,000, due mainly to graffiti removal. The capital budget has also been over- spent on a number of projects: $161,000 for the Acton Agricultural building, $120,100 for Mountainview Rd. surface improvement; $40,200 for the pavement management pro- gram; $28,500 for Churchill Rd.
