The 14-year-old Grade 9 Georgetown District High School student was recognized for her results in cross-country, 800m and 1,500m. Jarvis received her award from two of Canadas most suc- cessful track and field athletes, high jumper Milt Ottey and Olympic silver medalist sprinter Angela Taylor Issajenko. After suffering an ankle injury in the fall, Jarvis has just now fully recovered and has taken a pass on most indoor races this winter in favour of training for the outdoor season.
