A spokesperson for Halton Hills Fire Department said the car had previously con- tained sulphuric acid. It was inspected by both CN and Halton Hills Fire Protection and Prevention Services Hazardous Materials team and deemed safe as there had been no breach of the cars walls and monitoring equipment showed no toxic fumes. Due to the derailment, GO Transit cancelled all of its trains on the Georgetown line Wednesday morning, except for two trains from Mount Pleasant and another from Brampton.
