Independent & Free Press, Wednesday, March 12, 2008 9 ENTERTAINMENT Ten-year-old Emma Smith of Georgetown will be off to the National Ballet Schools summer program. The Center Stage student audi- tioned last month and earned a place in the prestigious program. The Grade 5 student at St. Catherine of Alexandria School is in the midst of preparing for her Royal Academy of Dance ballet exam. In addition to her ballet, Emma is also on Center Stages competitive dance teams for jazz, open, acro and lyrical. Emma will join two other Georgetown youngsters at the sum- mer program, Charlotte Reid and Kristen Hofland. Young ballerina earns place in prestigious summer program EMMA SMITH
