Charged with possession of a con- trolled substance for the purpose of trafficking is Mark Sinkgraven, 21, of Elizabeth Dr. Halton Hills firefighters were called to Alcora Power and Propulsion on Mountainview Rd. N. last Wednesday afternoon for a machinery fire. A band saw used to cut magnesium ingots caught fire and ignited metal shavings and dust resulting in approximately $5,000 damage. Four tires and rims valued at $3,500 were taken from a 2008 Ford Focus at Concept Ford on Guelph St. sometime late last Wednesday or early Thursday. A tractor-trailer loaded with scrap metal was stolen from a compound at ATL Logistics on Ninth Line sometime Saturday evening or Sunday morning. The tractor was a red 2000 International valued at $15,000, the trailer was a white 2007 Mana, valued at $19,000. Both the tractor and trailer had Avtar on them. The scrap metal in the trailer is valued at $25,000. Cash was taken, desks ransacked and a computer, guitar and clock bro- ken during a break-in at a portable classroom at St. Josephs School on Mill St. in Acton sometime between Friday and Sunday. The sale, held at Georgetwn Distr ict High School, will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will feature al l sorts of books, DVDs, CDs, toys and even a raffle to win a quilt.
