Everyone, including families with young children, is invited to the free event called Acton Youths Chance for Change. The schedule of act ivi t ies includes a stage lineup beginning with open mic youth performances from noon to 3 p.m., official cere- monies and Youth Supporter Awards at 3 p.m., a Drum Circle at 3:30 p.m., comedians Jef f McEnery and Graham Chittenden and Acton Improv Group at 4 p.m., Brennan Finlay at 5:45 p.m., Lacerda at 6:30 p.m., and Skillshine at 7 p.m. There will also be a hands-on reptile display from 1 to 4 p.m., face painting and clown-balloon animals from 2 to 4 p.m., drumming from noon to 3 p.m. and a giant ball soccer game all day long. Also on hand will be representa- tives of Roxy outh, Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK), Town of Halton Hills, Acton High School, Halton Region Health Department, POSSE, Nelson Youth Centres, Sexual Assault & Violence Intervention Services of Halton and Halton Organization for Pride and Education. Acton Youths Chance for Change event represents the efforts of youth in Acton. Support is provided by Halton Region, Our Kids Network, Recreation and Parks Town of Halton Hills, Off the Wall Links2Care, and Halton Regional Police Service. Additional support is provided by POSSE, Acton High School , McKenzie-Smith Bennett and St. Josephs Schools.
