GARDENER, Phyllis Clara Mabel It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our loving mom, grandma, and friend into her new home in Heaven to be in the presence of her loving Lord and Saviour on May 16th, 2008 at the age of 79 years. She was predeceased by her husband John, her parents, Sydney and Nellie Slade, her brother Roland (Ronnie) Slade, and her nephew Stephen. Mom will always be remembered and missed by her five children: Judy (Bailie), Danny (Helen), Joanie, Bev (Ian) and Ron; also by her 15 grandchildren: Dwayne, Darryl (Mandy), John (Lili), Micah, Daniel, David (Jenni), Jason (Christine), Jen- ny, James (Bethany), Angela, Susannah, Meaghan (Jesse), Naomi (Justin), Evan (Julia) and Dustin; and by her 12 great-grandchildren: Travis, Mateo, Lilly, Matthew, Mercia, Shyrena, Tyler, Cori, Laci, Grace, Ethan, and Caleb. She will also be missed by her brother Sydney, many nieces and friends. Mom's first love was her church, listening to and singing the praises of her Lord, and reading her Bible on a daily basis. Her second love was her family and looked forward to talking on the phone to any of them daily. Mom loved knitting, cooking and baking, and playing games (mostly scrabble). Mom's strong faith was an inspiration and encouragement to all her family and friends. She was a great listener, always there with encouraging words, had the most awesome giving heart, and a smile that will never be forgotten. Mom was truly a special gift from God. The family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses who as- sisted her during her illness, and the staff at Waterford Long Term Residence, especially Kerri. A celebration of her life will be held on May 21st at 11:00 am at Evening Light Tabernacle at 7500- 5th Line, Milton, Ontario.
