A meet-the-artist reception will be held on Saturday, June 14, noon to 3 p.m. Duplassie retired from teaching in 2001 and immediately redis- covered her love of art. Her daughter Jackie now resides in Paris and so her mother had the oppor- tunity to spend a lot of time in that beautiful city, thus the show Five Weeks in Paris. She is a visual artist, who paints in oils, water- colours, and acrylics. Martin Rothstein takes pho- tographs of the Caledon hills near his country home, and of loca- tions around the world that he visits in his travels. His photogra- phy exhibit opens in the Williams Mill Gallery, June 4 to July 7. Meet Rothstein at the exhibits opening reception on Sunday, June 8, 2-5 p.m. The Gallery, on Main St. in Glen Williams, is open noon to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. Innerscapes, a local collective of six artists, hosts the third in a series of shows, Zoom, Zoom, Zoom, at the Halton Hills Cultural Centre in Georgetown, until June 21. The opening reception with the artists will be held 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, June 14. The Zoom series culminates a year of art development for the Innerscapes. Georgetown artist Barbara Ariss-Stroh Wasser has a solo show, Fly on Moods Wings to Happy Mood Swings, an exhibit of contemporary visual creations at CJs Caf2416 Lakeshore Rd. West in Oakville. The show runs from June 4 until June 30, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ariss will donate 50 per cent of the profits from this sale to charity.
