The proposed pipeline will origi- nate from a tie-in on Unions Dawn/Trafalgar Transmission line at Fifth Line and extend along Fifth Line and Highway 401 to the Halton Hills generating station near the intersection of Highway 401 and Sixth Line. In its decision the Board noted: The proposed pipeline is needed to supply natural gas to the Halton Hills Generating Station; The proposed project is the best alternative to supply natural gas to the Halton Hills Generating Station; Unions commitment to ensure the recommendations of the Route Selection, Environmental and Socio- Economic Impact Assessment, and all conditions of approval are followed; The consultation process Union followed to identify to consult with Aboriginal Peoples groups who may be affected by the proposed pipeline, was appropriate and complete; and The project is economically feasi- ble. Based on the evidence provided and the above findings, the Board determined the project is in the pub- lic interest.
