Police say shortly after 2 a.m. a 17-year-old left a home on Hewson Cres. and walked to a vehicle parked at the side of the house. Realizing the vehicle was locked she turned to walk back to the house and was confronted by an unknown man who began to grab and pull at her hair. The girl struggled with the man before she managed to get back to the house where she notified other people in the home and police were contacted. But the man was gone when police arrived. The man is described as white, in his 20s, approximately 57 with a medium build and chubby stomach, acne and blonde facial hair on his chin and a slight accent of unknown origin. He was wearing a beige Timberland- style boots, a black long-sleeved t-shirt with a basketball and team name on it, dark pants and a light beige hat with ear covers. Police blotter Police seek publics help to identify man in assault Itll be a little easier to pick apples this fall at Chudleighs Farm on Regional Rd. 25 in Halton Hills. Halton Region has approved the construc- tion of a northbound left-hand turn lane at the popular tourist location, just south of 10 Sideroad. The proposed works include widening the existing roadway for the left-turn lane, improvements at the entrance to Chudleighs and partial replacement of a culvert north of the entrance. During the construction, which is expected to take place between July and September, the two lanes of traffic will be reduced to one lane. Temporary traffic signals will be set up to direct vehicles.
