Jack was a farmer in Halton County for his entire life, raising and showing Holstein cattle. He was actively involved with 4H clubs and Jr. Farmers, competing and winning several national and international awards. His interest in sports led him to playing, umpiring and coaching baseball in Halton County. In his later years, he raised and trained standard bred horses, partici- pating in the Ontario Sires Stakes when it was f irst or iginated. He was a Master Plowman and was President and Director of Halton County Plowmans Association and the Ontario Plowmans Association. He plowed and judged many county plowing matches as well as coaching the Ontario Plowmen Team in international competitions. Jacks family is grateful to the staff and nurses at Allendale and at Milton District Hospital (2nd floor and Intensive Care Unit), who cared for and loved Dad. Private cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
