Police blotter Parking lot dispute leads to threatening charge The Town of Halton Hills has been award- ed a $32,827 grant from the Joint Emergency Preparedness Program (JEPP) to be used in the construction of the new Emergency Operations Centre. JEPP is a national grant program in part- nership with Emergency Management Ontario designed to enhance emergency man- agement capabilities across Canada. The fund- ing is awarded in a 55-45 per cent (applicant/ JEPP) partnership for emergency operations centres, telecommunication equipment, emer- gency generators, exercises and other items. The funding will be used to assist in pur- chasing telecommunications equipment, a generator and office equipment for the new Emergency Operations Centre in the new fire headquarters station under construction at 10 Sideroad and Eighth Line.
