This national event invites people to participate by removing debris from the shorelines of ponds, streams, rivers, lakes, or oceans. Participating in a shoreline cleanup is easy: choose a location, date and time, and register today by visiting www.vanaqua.org/cleanup or calling 1- 877-427-2422. If animals could remove our garbage, they would. Until theyre able to, you can help by joining the TD Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup. All registrants will receive cleaning supplies and the first 50,000 will also receive a free T- shirt. Registration ends August 31. Cat food and litter needed UCHS is desperately seeking donations of canned cat food to help feed the masses of cat that are at the Shelter during this peri- od. Cat litter (clumping is preferred) is welcome too. Any dona- tions can be dropped off at Global Pet Foods, Georgetown, or the UCHS Thrift Shop on Moore Park Plaza, Georgetown, for the donors convenience. The animals thank you! Food bank has grocery list The Georgetown Bread Basket (food bank) is very low on some food items. If you can help, please drop off at any of the grocery stores: cold cereal, canned juice, canned vegetables, canned meat, instant cof- fee, flour, baking goods, fruit bars. Thanks for your help. Any items can be placed in the food bank bins at any of the grocery stores and food bank volunteers will pick up.
