RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide technical leadership, implementation and support for web services, development and maintenance of the Towns internal and external websites, including management and maintenance of the Towns domain names. Develop web applications using PHP, JavaScript, and Adobe Flash. Create, implement and maintain web connected databases. Capture photographs for web usage and corporate advertisements, displays, invitations and brochures throughout the Town. Coordinate the efforts of external contractors for upgrade and maintenance activities where required. Instruct and mentor Towns power users in design and print applications and lead instructional seminars for Town staff, as requested. Provide technical support for implementation of the electronic service delivery strategy. QUALIFICATIONS: Three year college certificate in Computer Science, Web Design Services or related discipline. Minimum three years experience in developing communication materials, Web production and/or development with extensive graphic and creative skills. Knowledge of web technologies, protocols and tools including XHTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, XML, Macromedia Flash, MS Sharepoint. Experience with web-database integration and a range of database platforms including Oracle and SQLServer. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Understanding of Project Management principles. SALARY RANGE: The salary range for this full time position is $55,920 to $66,573 per annum.
