Ever wondered what it would be like to be part of a musical on stage? Want to hang out with other musical theatre fans? By popular demand, Georgetown Globe Musical Productions is launching a youth company this fall with a workshop series aimed at get- ting both newbies and seasoned actors up to speed on what it takes to be part of a musical. The series will be led by Globes best directors and will include the topics of improvisation, vocals, makeup/staging, drama and how to audition. The fall session with five work- shops is $125 per child. Workshops will be held every other Sunday afternoon throughout the fall starting on September 21 leading up to December auditions for the May 2009 youth production of The Wizard of Oz. Registration is 7-9 p.m. this com- ing Wednesday and Thursday (September 17/18) at St. Johns United, 11 Guelph St., Georgetown. For more information contact 416-575-1232. Programs begin in October and are offered in both branches. For babies 6-23 months and their grownups theres Baby Tales, for two year-olds and their grownups, theres Tales for Twos, and for 3-5 year-olds theres Library Lion Tales.
