Congratulations on your 50th Wedding Anniversary September 12, 1958 With Love & Best Wishes from your children & grandchildrenTony & Elaine Zilio 20 Acton/Georgetown, Friday, September 12, 2008 Mayor Rick Bonnette presented the Ontario Heritage Trust Lifetime Achievement Award to local resident Eric Connolly, who has been an active advocate for heritage preservation since 1987. Connolly served as the founding secretary of the Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee, now known as Heritage Halton Hills. He was a member of this com- mittee for 10 years and acted as chair over several terms. In addition to significant organizational leader- ship, Connolly documented a large inventory of her- itage properties and his research continues to serve as a major source of information about this communi- ty's built heritage. In 1999, responding to the demise of the Provincial Heritage Property Grants, Connolly and Steve Foster founded the Heritage Foundation of Halton Hills. This charity has contributed thousands of dollars to property owners to assist them in pre- serving designated buildings in this community. The foundation's primary source of funds is the Mayor's Heritage Golf Tournament. Photo by Mark Rowe Lifetime Achievement
