Young Parents Dinner Club The Young Parents Dinner Club is hosting a Baby Shower, on Monday, Sept. 22, for any young parent who has had a baby in the last six months. There are gift bags for the new arrivals and prizes to be won in some fun activities. Dinner and childcare will be provided, so come on out and have some fun. The Young Parents Dinner Club meets weekly each Monday from 4:30-7:30 p.m. from September-June at the Ontario Early Years Centre, Georgetown Satellite, 96 Guelph Street. The Dinner Club supports young parents (up to 24 years of age) with children from 0-6 years of age. Parents are involved in choosing the menu and preparing the evening meal. The chil- dren are cared for by childcare staff and once dinner is ready, everyone eats together. Guest speakers come and respond to parents interests and provide information on infant and child development, parenting skills, family nutrition etc. There is no fee for this program. Dads Connect on Sept. 24 Dads Connect, an evening drop-in program is offered through the Ontario Early Years Centre, Georgetown Satellite, 96 Guelph Street and held on the fourth Wednesday of each month from September to June. Dads Connect runs from 6-8 p.m. and provides an opportunity for fathers of children from 0- 6 years of age to spend some quality play time together with their children and to network with other dads.
