Funding totaling $184,418, is also contin- ued for projects already financed in previous years. Providing the cash is Halton Healthy Community Fund, financed by Halton Region, its four municipalities, and several service agencies including the United Way of Halton Hills. The lead agency is Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Halton with assistance from the two school boards. The money will enable the program to launch in two Georgetown schools for two years. Trained vol- unteers would facilitate mentoring sessions and address physical activity, balanced eating and positive self-image needs of 64 girls, ages 12-14. Money will go to a part-time program manager and executive directors time to man- age and fundraise for the program. Willow Park Ecology Centre coordination project, $10,500. The Rotary Club of Georgetown applied for the funding on behalf of WPEC.
