This reminder was part of the learning process for us whether we were printing or writing. We were taught to create movement on a page in exactly the same way. Well here is something to think about. If we were all taught exactly the same way in school, how is it that our writing and our printing is entirely different today? We all learned the same things, but the graphic move- ment that we create today seems to be as indi- vidual as we are. The applications are endless. Selecting the right nanny for our children, checking the compatibility you have with that new person in your life, making sure that Uncle Charlie really did sign that will, understanding why you get along better with some people rather than others. We reveal our personality traits through our handwriting or graphic movement, says Mary Ann Matthews, a certified graphoanalyst. I often refer to handwriting as brainwriting. We simply cannot fool our brain, no matter how hard we try. And this is why graphology or handwriting analysis is so accurate. It really does reveal our character traits. Matthews is the owner of handwriting.ca and she will be speaking about this fascinating subject to the University Womens Club on October 2, 7:30 p.m. at Halton Hills Public Library and Cultural Centre. All members of the community, both men and women to attend this open meeting. Refreshments to follow. For further informa- tion, contact Helen Tazzman at 905-877-9655. The trail of ink that we leave behind on a sheet of paper really does tell our story. The French Club program allows each child to practise speaking in French through their participation in games and verbal activities. The Amuse-Vocabulaire program provides the opportunity for students to hear, say and spell French words, also participating in a word game or fun activity. The fall programs begin Oct. 11 at the Gellert Community Centre. Parents can choose to register their children either online at www.SolidChoiceServices.com or in person on Thursday, Sept. 27 from 6-8 p.m. at the Gellert Centre.
