Wellington OPP report the acci- dent occurred at about 1:50 p.m. on Wellington Rd. 124 (Hwy. 24) near 10 Sideroad when a 2000 Volvo traveling southbound skid- ded across the road into the north- bound lanes where i t s truck a northbound 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt. The driver of the Cobalt, Tanya Burton, 36 of Georgetown and her eight-year-old son received non- life threatening injuries in the crash and were taken to Georgetown Hospital for treat- ment. The driver of the Volvo, Cynthia Jolie, 43, of Limehouse and her passenger, a 48-year-old Mississ- auga man, were rushed by air ambulance to Hamilton General Hospital, where they both remain in critical but stable condition. Traffic was re-routed for five hours while OPP officers worked to reconstruct the events of the accident. OPP are seeking witnesses to the accident and ask anyone with information to contact Rockwood OPP at 519-856-1506 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
